Bella Quarter, usually swamped with work, rarely called William Thompson.

On the other end of the line, Bella’s voice was calm and gentle, “William, when are you coming back?”

The two were planning to have a baby, so at the very least, they needed to visit the hospital for checkups.

William replied, “I don’t know, probably in a few days.”
