Chapter 241: Mexico City’s Guardian
Chapter 241: Mexico City’s Guardian
-----
The skies trembled as hundreds of spaceships with strange shapes, adorned by huge dinosaur-like heads made of metal, rushed down one after another, spreading across most of the American Continent. Starting from South America and going all the way to North America.
This was but the initial fleet of Saurians led by Bloodclaw, their current leader and also the Priestess of their Saurian Primal God, who came from Mars itself through the Timeline Gate that was opened in their original Timeline, which they harnessed their power and manipulated to control the Gate as they pleased.
While the Mothership hovered above the stratosphere alongside most of the main fleet, which accounted for at least a few thousand more spaceships, the first initial fleet task was to quickly subjugate any attempt of resistance from the inhabitants of the “Neo Earth,” as the Saurians called this Earth from another Timeline, which wasn’t infested with gigantic prehistoric menaces and deadly tribes of hominids, but it was inhabited by otherworldly monsters and powered humans through a strange essence the humans called “the system” and “mana”.
They started by invading the most populated area closer to the Mothership, the large continent known as “America” by the humans. Despite them realizing this planet was an Earth from another timeline, it was very different from what the Saurians were used to.
Their original “Earth” only had a single mega continent called “Pangea,” and they had named both the continent and the planet the same. This mega continent was filled with deadly prehistoric beasts, massive dinosaurs that could easily go as tall as hundreds of meters. The most terrifying, called the “Prehistoric Kings,” were massive beasts that governed an area of the continent, creatures so massive and powerful they could destroy entire mountains in their wake.
The endless battle between the “Prehistoric Kings” and the Saurians and their Technology was what initially drove them to escape to Mars. Despite how strong and resourceful the Saurians were, the World of Pangea remained untamed, and they simply terraformed the nearby planet and made it their utopia while leaving behind the hominid and the Prehistoric Kings to their own fate.
But thanks to the new and strange Timeline Gate phenomenon, they now had access to this different Timeline, bringing them to a Pangea without the dangerous Prehistoric Kings and even weaker hominids too! It was ideal, the perfect place for them to make their new home. Brimming with resources such as Mana and this intriguing “System” alongside the many otherworldly materials and the worlds connected to the Tower… the Saurian Emperor living in the Terraformed Mars happily sent Bloodclaw and an enormous fleet of spaceships, accompanied by a mothership, to invade this new Pangea.
The Saurian God, direct true ruler above even the Saurian Emperor and their God himself, also appeared, manifesting through the Magical Atmosphere of this Earth, combined with the Spiritual Realm making his existence even possible in this world, and perhaps even stronger, he accompanied Bloodclaw and obtained several superpowered vessels to ensure their complete takeover of this planet!
And yet, things didn’t go as they planned. Dangers after dangers appeared one after another, and even with several powerful Vessels, the Saurian God was ultimately bested by another otherworldly invader of the name of “Black Storm Dragon” forcing him to retreat with his second main vessel, Galaxy Man.
However, as this happened, and while he oversaw the planet from above and so its invasion, leaving behind Bing Xue, another threat to fight the being he couldn’t best, he decided to rapidly unleash his invasion; however, even as this happened, there were several unknown heroes across the continent of America defending it from danger.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Countless explosions spread through the planet’s atmosphere as dozens of spaceships were being utterly destroyed by a single young woman. Not exactly a human but someone from a world connected to the Tower, with long, brown-colored rabbit ears, short brown hair, and powerful, fur-covered kicking legs, the small rabbit girl, covered in heavy armor, smashed massive fifty-meter-big spaceships with her gigantic, blazing hammer, making them explode into pieces.
“I won’t let you invade Bing Xue’s planet!”
With a ferocious roar, the little rabbit woman leaped through the skies, kicking the empty sky itself as she faced dozens of spaceships that were hovering above Mexico City. The people beneath glanced in awe as they thought aliens were coming to invade, as if monsters themselves weren’t enough.
“Mamá! Mamá! Los alienígenas vienen a invadirnos ahora!”
“Ay, no, hijo! Ojalá no!”
¡No mames! ¿Y de dónde vergas salió?”
“¡Ay, no sé, Juan! ¡Pero, corre ya! No te quedes parado ahí, tonto!”
As the people ran away one after another, making a mess in the center of the city, a single man stood above a large building, glancing the skies with a stoic expression. He had clear brown skin, long black hair, and wore a simple white shirt and blue jeans.
His green-colored eyes glowed as his Aura started growing larger across the city. Looking down at the people escaping, he quickly pointed his hand into the skies, aiming at a spaceship that Peperina ended up missing.
“Estás bien fuerte, pero no podrás contra todos, mija. Menos mal que vine para unas vacaciones aquí… Ojalá mi esposa me espere un ratito.”
As he said that, he quickly gathered Mana into his hands, conjuring a massive magic circle… However, the Magic Circle was strange; instead of having usual runes, the runes themselves had the shapes of strange masks, skulls, drawings showing sacrifices, and also Aztecan pyramids.
“{Divine Death God Call}: {Mictlantecuhtli Divine Spirit Embodiment}”
TRUUUM!
Out of nowhere, a shockwave was released from his entire body; the massive magic circle exploded into black and purple mist, reaching the skies and rapidly transforming into a massive skeleton covered in blood and wearing Aztecan tribal clothes, with several black, blue, and red feathers and leather wrapped around his torso and crotch.
Holding a single, gigantic, red-colored knife made out of several bloodied skeletons fused together, the massive skeleton god of over a hundred meters in height swung it against the incoming spaceship, which was about to shoot a laser at the young man.
“Te ofrezco ese alíen como sacrificio, Mictlantecuhtli.”
As the young man spoke, the giant skeleton giggled viciously, slashing the massive spaceship into two halves within a mere second.
SLAAAASH!
The Saurian inside was immediately cut into two halves, and all his life force was drained instantly, turning into a dried corpse before the spaceship even exploded.
BOOOM!
Mictlantecuhtli was not just any Death God, but the Death God related to Sacrifices within Aztec Mythology; he was among the Gods to whom the Aztecs offered sacrifices in the ancient past.
And this young man here was no normal necromancer, capable of summoning a Death God out of nowhere…
“¿Más? No jodas…”
The young man groaned annoyedly as he saw dozens of other spaceships descend; the massive skeleton god rushed forward, swinging its knife and destroying them one by one.
SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!
As they were all destroyed, the giant skeleton laughed, opening its giant jaws and devouring the souls of the Saurians, growing stronger and larger.
“¿Te gustan? Comételos todos, amigo.”
“GRYAHAHAHAHA!”
The monstrous skeleton god laughed evilly as it continued massacring spaceships with the Saurians inside. The people running away stopped in that moment, glancing at the young man and his summon and instantly recognizing him.
In fact, who couldn’t recognize him? Hew was among the most popular Hunters in the entire world!
“¡N-No Mames!”
“¡¿Es ese…?!”
“¡Sí, es! ¡Es él! ¡Es él!”
“¡¿Pablo?!”
“¡Un World Class Hunter! ¡¡Sí, pinche pendejo! ¡Te lo juro por la Virgen Santa María!”
“¡¿Estaba acá?!”
“¿No estaba viviendo en pinche Chile antes?”
“¡¿Qué vergas está haciendo Pablo aquí?!”
“¡¿Qué importa eso?! ¡Lo que importa es que está acá! ¡Ese wey puede invocar los putos dioses aztecas!”
As the crowd cheered, his name echoed through the entire city. He was nobody else than a World Class Hunter, Pablo, the world’s strongest necromancer, and also the weirdest of them all.
A man whose “Necromancy” was about sacrificing souls and living beings to invoke powerful Embodiments of Humanity’s Mythology, limited only to the various Aztec Death Gods themselves.
His powers manifested ten years ago, and with them, he was able to protect most of South America from imminent destruction from the initial wave of Gates and Invasions from Monsters.
“Hmph, looks like I got caught…” Laughed Pablo, suddenly speaking in English as he noticed the rabbit girl rushing towards him. “Hello, little rabbit girl. You’re certainly not human; why are you protecting us?”
“A-Ah! Oh, you can speak my language as well; that’s a relief! Well, I am helping because my… My lover lives in this world,” Peperina said, a bit embarrassed to admit Bing Xue was her lover. “Thank you so much for your help! I thought I could handle this area myself, but it seems I was slightly mistaken! Would you not mind if we teamed up?”
“Of course, Linda! No te preocupes, I’ll take care of the city’s safety. You go and kill all the pendejos arriba.” Pablo said.
“Um, thank you very much! But what are pendejos?” Asked Peperina.
“Jajaja, don’t mind it, Linda, go, go, go!” Pablo said, as the giant skeleton punched another spaceship.
“Okay, thanks!”
