The dragon's harem

Chapter 1220: Stealth Mission

Zia plunged her fangs into Arad's neck, greedily drinking the fresh blood rushing down her throat. It was hot and burned as she went down her throat, but she managed to fill her belly in seconds.

She then drank and more, satiating the drought plaguing her body. Soon, the red glow in her eyes started to fade away and was replaced by a cold, collected blue hue of magic.

Her eyes looked at Arad's face, and as she was about to say something, his eyes narrowed, and her eyelids felt as heavy as stones. Her body relaxed, and her hands dropped down.

"You put her to sleep?" Eris, who was standing at his side, looked at him. Her eyes shifted between Arad and Zia, and then she sighed. "I'm sure she wanted to have a more intimate moment than you just knocking her out."

"And I know that what she needs most now is rest, even if she doesn't know or want it. Her whole body had been rebuilt and reborn. Unlike you, she has no divine magic coursing through her veins to soothe the pain and damage."

Zia's body was far weaker than Eris, and as she expected, Eris did have a bit easier thanks to all of her powers and demi-god body. Most Vampire Lords need to spend long days asleep after transforming to recover.

As Arad looked at the nuns, two of them rushed closer. "Take her to her room to rest."

It was then that Akasha spoke. Her voice echoed across the church like a melody, "I'd suggest putting her in a coffin and burying her." She smiled, "She'll rest better that way and would have more power when she wakes up." She then walked past Arad and looked at him, "Vampires have no business sleeping on beds."

She then faded away into Arad's body, disappearing into his blood. He looked at the nuns, and one of them briefly explained that Akasha's mother, Akame, is the goddess of vampires and undeath. Coffins are her divine symbol and would allow her vampires to better connect with their Godmother.

Away at the Titan's castle, Arad was asleep on his bed, surrounded by Claug, Alice, and Tyal. His eyes were still open as he looked at the ceiling, spreading his senses across the city.

Arad's current magic range is 4000 km, which means that he can spread his magic 4000 km in each direction. His sphere of influence is 8000km wide.

Right now, he could directly sense his Voids fighting and the Titans going about their daily life. It seems that while half of them sleep at night, the other half remain awake to make sure the city keeps withstanding the violent storm. Groups of hunters even jumped into the mountain range to hunt.

Pain had already killed the weird Chimera she faced and sent its soul to him. Darkness is still searching for the snake's true body, and Madness hasn't been able to defeat the Genius Loci.

King Gale and the Queens seem to be fast asleep. This means Arad has time to sneak around and explore. His goal is to find anything that might help both Zeus and Gale stay alive.

Arad now has four incarnations. Two are in Alina, one would stay there, and the other would head back to the university with everyone else. The third one is this body he has here, and the fourth one he is now about to use.

A small humanoid form emerged, and then another, smaller one followed. Arad and Zephyr were going on their first stealth mission together.

Arad looked back at himself, asleep with the rest, and then sighed, masking all of his presence and magic.

"Look at you." Zephyr sat on his shoulder, "Already asleep with three new women."

Arad looked at her and frowned, "New? I say not, besides Tyal. But we must play the role well."

Zephyr giggled, "I agree, they aren't new. Each of them is at least a few centuries old." She stretched her back and yawned. "But Aella did say that Tyal would stay as a concubine at least." She then looked around, "But this place is quite nasty, isn't it?"

"They aren't spying on us, but they are keeping track of our location and if we're still alive or not." Arad looked at the walls, seeing the magic flowing inside. It was a simple spell but well hidden. The Titans should be able to tell if Arad and everyone else are still in the room and if they are alive or dead.

"I still don't like it." She flew to the wall and looked at it closer, "The spell works by using air as a medium." An evil grin appeared on her face, and she lightly kicked the wall.

"Wait for it." She flew and sat on his head.

Seconds later, a loud scream boomed outside, and he could hear many people running all over the place.

"What did you do?" Arad asked, and she shrugged, "Just tampered with the signal all around the castle to mask the signal of one of the queens."

"You..." Arad sighed, "That would make sneaking around easier." He didn't like her methods. It is harmless, so he won't bother thinking too deeply about it.

Arad and Zephyr walked toward the door. It now towered over them, looking like a titanic structure that should reach the clouds. Arad was only three meters tall now, and the door was over a hundred and fifty meters tall.

Zephyr looked at the door for a few seconds, then asked with a serious face. "Do you think there are giant cockroaches around?"

"I don't think so. This isn't an enlarged building. It's a castle built by Titans for Titans. Cockroaches exist, but they are the normal size. Titans probably can't even see them."

Arad pulled a black cloak from his stomach, covered himself, and had Zephyr hide inside his hood, right on his head. He then lay down and crawled beneath the door. The gap was almost a meter, large enough for a normal human to crawl with ease, but Arad was a bit too big, and it felt a bit cramped there.

"Hurry, we need to make use of the distraction. Don't go to the royal quarter, go to the offices instead. We might fight something there."
