She reached for her weapon, which was a sleek, black katana with an oriental curvature. At the base of the blade’s hilt was a small, serpent-shaped sigil. She pressed two fingers against it, then slowly slid them along the flat side of the metal, tracing it from hilt to tip in one smooth motion. As she did, a sheen of dark purple spread in her fingers’ wake, greatly resembling the color of her eyes.
