Pokemon: Reborn Rich Alternate Earth

Chapter 488: News Of The Exit

The injured Charizard naturally wasn’t taken seriously by Imran. He slowly walked toward it, stopping about thirty meters away from Charizard.

“Char~”

Charizard: "Idiot."

Imran had no idea that Charizard was insulting him, and just thought that the roar was out of fear, and couldn’t help but feel a bit smug.

Still, he put on a gentle expression. “Don’t be afraid, I’m here to help you.”

Since he wanted to capture this Charizard, the best approach was to make it willingly accept him. Of course, if Charizard didn’t cooperate, then he was ready to use force.

After saying this, he saw that Charizard didn’t make a sound and assumed it had accepted his goodwill, so he stepped forward again.

But when he took his fourth step, Charizard suddenly launched an attack. A stream of scorching flames shot toward him.

Fortunately, the flames were blocked by Rapidash beside him.

Behind him, Salman sneered: “Looks like that Charizard doesn’t appreciate your kindness.”

Imran’s face darkened. A severely injured Charizard still dared to resist? It clearly didn’t understand its situation.

“Attack.”

He said to Rapidash beside him, at this moment Imran was done trying to communicate.

He’d capture it first—there’d be plenty of time to bond later.

Just as Rapidash was about to make a move, Charizard suddenly turned into a streak of red light and disappeared.

This made both men’s expressions change drastically.

That red light was clearly the kind that appeared when a Pokémon was recalled into a Poké Ball.

Which meant that this Charizard wasn’t wild one—it had a Trainer!

So—

'It's a trap!!'

The thought hit both of them at once.

At the same time, Julian and the others emerged from their hiding place.

Kartana, who had been lying on the ground pretending to be dead also dropped the act and slowly floated over to Julian’s side.

When the two Trainers from Malasiar saw who had set up this trap, their faces went pale.

'Damn it—Drakoria.'

Relations between Malasiar and Drakoria were far from friendly.

Mainly because Malasiar lacked power but loved to talk big. Many in their country believed they were the greatest in the universe, thinking that any other nation was nothing compared to them.

Just six months ago, Malasiar had even imprisoned a Pokémon scholar from Drakoria, and despite warnings, refused to let him go.

In response, the Drakorian military launched an operation, and one of the key personnel involved was Pierce.

And during that operation one of Salman’s Pokémon had been killed by Pierce.

Salman also recognized Pierce among the five people. His expression didn’t show anger—in fact, he looked even more afraid.

Because Pierce had killed one of his Pokémon, he understood Pierce's strength even more, which only made him feel more hopeless.

Not to mention, the numbers were in Drakoria's favor.

Outnumbered, outmatched, and already in a hostile situation.

Running into such opponents on just the second day in this Top-tier secret realm—was this really happening?

“You people are despicable.”

The atmosphere was heavy, and after a long pause, Imran finally squeezed out a sentence.

But that one sentence nearly made his companion Salman to jump up and slap him.

At a time like this, even if you can’t say something nice to these trainers, at least don’t piss them off. What, do you have a death wish?

“Are people nowadays really this brave?” Julian asked.

“Must’ve drunk too much—fried his brains.” Rowan looked at the two of them rather coldly.

“Enough talk. Let’s finish this quickly,” Pierce said.

Julian’s Metagross, Ember’s Blaziken, Pierce’s Regirock, Rowan’s Abomasnow, and Asher’s Dragonite—five powerful Pokémon were about to wipe out the two trainers when—

Salman quickly shouted, “Don’t kill us! We found the location of this secret realm's exit!”

“As long as don’t kill us, I’ll tell you where it is!”

Hearing that, the five naturally paused.

'Could this be real? Such incredible luck?'

Because when entering a Top-tier secret realm from the outside world, you’re randomly teleported somewhere inside—it’s not like you land right at the exit.

And when exploring a Top-tier secret realm for the first time, while the treasures, resources, and wild Pokémon were important, finding the way out was clearly even more important.

Originally, Pierce had planned for them to explore the realm for two months before searching for the exit.

Who’d have thought that the people in front of them had already found it?

“You two really got that lucky?”

As someone who always had rotten luck, Julian obviously didn’t believe them.

Salman, afraid that Julian wouldn't believe him, hurriedly explained, “We were randomly teleported right near the exit!”

'Damn, that’s some real luck.'

Since the location you got transported to was random, there’s always a small chance that you might land right next to the secret realm' exit.

“As long as you don’t kill us, we’ll tell you.”

“Otherwise, it’ll take you a long time to find the exit yourselves.”

Maybe because of that, the two trainers started to feel like they had some bargaining power again.

“…They really did drink too much—their brains are broken,” Julian muttered, shaking his head.

Then Julian gave his Metagross a look.

Metagross nodded and flew toward the two of them.

Of course, their Pokémon tried to stop it, but they were immediately pinned to the ground and crushed by the combined force of Ember and the other’s Pokémon.

In this kind of overwhelming situation, the two trainers didn’t even get a chance to send out any more Pokémon—Metagross subdued them directly.

With a surge of psychic power, Metagross began probing Salman’s mind, combing through his memories from the past two days, bit by bit.

Searching someone’s memories was a delicate task.

Use too much power, and you’ll fry their brain. Too little, and you get nothing useful.

Most Psychic-types couldn’t actually pull off reading human memories, which was exactly why these two trainers believed that Julian wouldn’t kill them.

But Metagross, with its built-in supercomputer brain, had precision control over its psychic power. Other than its own kind, no Pokémon could match it in this area.

Salman’s eyes rolled back, his body spasmed violently, and the sight of it turned Imran’s face completely pale.

Before long, Metagross tossed Salman’s limp body to the ground. He had already become a vegetable—so Metagross ended his suffering with a swift blow.

“Please! Don’t kill me! I’m willing to join you guys!”

The death of his companion scared Imran so badly he dropped to his knees.

But a second later, he went to join his companion.

“You’re not worthy,” Ember said coldly.
