But even the smallest set on her was astonishingly large, like a mischievous child showing off in daddy’s clothes.

She took tiny steps forward, and the five burly men watching from a distance couldn’t help but think that Su Nian resembled a clumsy little bug squirming on the ground.

Someone lost control and laughed out loud, and then everyone burst into laughter. By the time Su Nian approached, the big guys were bent over, unable to straighten up from laughing.

She pulled at them in small handfuls, and before long, sweat began to form on her forehead.

When she went to the logistics department earlier, she collected her uniform but forgot to get gloves.

The men were fully equipped with gloves and hats for their work.

Su Nian was bare-headed in the sun.

“Director Fu, where can I get gloves and a hat?” Su Nian asked.

“You didn’t get them?” Director Fu asked in surprise.

Su Nian shook her head.

Director Fu looked at her deeply, then said, “Go get them tomorrow morning. The director of logistics went out for procurement this afternoon.”

Implicitly suggesting that Su Nian would have to continue under the sun without protection.

Being in the sun wasn’t the worst part; it was Su Nian’s hands that couldn’t take it.
