Myth Beyond Heaven

Chapter 2808: Chaos Descend (5)

Dian Lun twisted, his body bending unnaturally as the slash grazed his side, leaving a thin red line.

He grinned.

"Too slow."

His counterattack came instantly.

"Take this!"

Both fists lashed out in a storm of strikes, each punch carrying enough force to shatter a star. The air itself screamed as space distorted under the sheer weight of his attacks.

Yun Huanxin vanished.

Not teleportation—not even movement.

She simply wasn't there anymore.

Her presence had completely disappeared from the world, as if she had stepped outside of reality itself.

Dian Lun's fists struck nothing.

His tracking ability, which had never failed him before, stuttered.

For the first time, he couldn't predict her.

A whisper from behind.

"Spatial Needle."

A pinpoint of condensed space shot toward his spine.

Dian Lun barely twisted in time—but the attack still grazed his shoulder, carving a deep furrow through his chaotic armor.

He hissed.

Yun Huanxin's voice echoed from nowhere.

"You rely too much on tracking."

Dian Lun's eyes narrowed.

She was right.

His greatest strength—his ability to predict and adapt—was useless if he couldn't even sense her.

But he wasn't helpless.

He slammed his palms together.

"Chaotic Resonance."

A pulse of black energy exploded outward, warping space itself. The shockwave disrupted all spatial fluctuations—forcing Yun Huanxin's form to flicker back into existence for a split second.

That was enough.

Dian Lun lunged.

His fist, coated in devouring chaos, shot toward her.

Yun Huanxin stepped—

But this time, Dian Lun followed.

His tracking ability locked onto her the moment she reappeared.

BOOM!

His punch connected.

Yun Huanxin's body folded under the impact, her ribs cracking as she was sent flying. She crashed through several rock formations before skidding to a stop, blood trickling from her lips.

Dian Lun didn't let up.

He appeared above her, both fists raised.

"Go down."

He brought them down—

Yun Huanxin's eyes flared.

A perfect sheet of crystallized space formed above her.

BANG!

Dian Lun's fists struck—

And rebounded.

His own attack slammed back into him, sending him hurtling skyward.

Yun Huanxin rose, her injuries sealing as spatial energy mended her body.

Dian Lun recovered midair, flipping to land gracefully.

They stared at each other.

A standstill.

But neither was done.

Dian Lun cracked his neck.

"Let's go all out."

Buzz—

His chaotic energy condensed, forming a massive black greatsword in his hands. The blade pulsed with devouring power, distorting the very air around it.

Yun Huanxin adjusted her grip on her own sword.

The spatial runes in her eyes burned brighter.

Then—

They moved.

Dian Lun's greatsword came down in an arc that could split continents.

Yun Huanxin sidestepped, her sword lashing out in a spatial slash aimed at his wrist.

He twisted, avoiding the cut, and countered with a knee to her ribs.

She folded space, making his strike pass through her harmlessly.

Back and forth.

Blow after blow.

Neither could land a decisive hit.

Dian Lun's tracking allowed him to predict her spatial shifts—but Yun Huanxin's mastery of void steps kept her always one move ahead.

It was the ultimate battle between two space manipulators—one who chased, and one who evaded.

Dian Lun suddenly grinned.

"You're good," he admitted. "But I've seen your pattern."

His greatsword flared with chaotic energy.

"Chaos Bind."

Tendrils of black energy shot from the blade, wrapping around Yun Huanxin's limbs. They weren't physical—they were conceptual, binding her very ability to manipulate space.

Yun Huanxin's eyes widened slightly.

She couldn't teleport.

Dian Lun didn't hesitate.

"End this."

His sword came down—

Yun Huanxin smiled.

A rare expression.

"Void Transcendence."

Her body dissolved into countless fragments of light, slipping through the chaotic bindings like water through fingers.

Dian Lun's sword struck empty ground, carving a canyon into the earth.

Before he could react—

Yun Huanxin reformed behind him.

Her sword pierced through his back, exiting through his chest.

Dian Lun coughed blood.

Silence.

Then—

He laughed.

"Finally… a real fight."

His hand shot backward, gripping Yun Huanxin's wrist.

"Got you."

Chaotic energy flooded into her.

Yun Huanxin's body seized as the corrupting power invaded her meridians.

But she didn't panic.

Her free hand flicked.

"Spatial Detonation."

The space inside Dian Lun's chest imploded.

BOOM!

His grip loosened as blood sprayed from his mouth.

Yun Huanxin retreated, her breathing ragged.

Dian Lun staggered, clutching his chest. His chaotic energy surged, healing the damage—but slower now.

They were both reaching their limits.

Dian Lun wiped his mouth, grinning through the pain.

"One last move?"

Yun Huanxin nodded.

"One last move."

They charged.

Dian Lun's greatsword flared with apocalyptic chaos.

Yun Huanxin's blade shimmered with absolute void.

The two forces collided—

BOOOOOOM!

The world whited out.

When the dust settled—

Both stood frozen, weapons locked.

A beat.

Then—

Dian Lun's greatsword shattered.

Yun Huanxin's sword tip rested against his throat.

Silence.

Dian Lun exhaled.

"...Well fought."

Yun Huanxin lowered her blade.

"It's over."

Dian Lun chuckled, then winced as his wounds protested.

"Yes. It's over," he smiled. "For you, of course."

Rip—

Suddenly, a void opened above Yun Huanxin, and a figure descended with a long spear, aiming to stab Yun Huanxin's head.

Yun Huanxin's expression changed drastically. She tried to move, but it was futile. Dian Lun had already used a spatial bind on her.

"Die!"

The figure, Tang Zhen, uttered with a sinister smile.

Puff!

Yun Huanxin tilted her head to avoid the fatal attack, but she couldn't completely evade it. The spear pierced her left shoulder, going all the way down to the ground and severing her entire left arm completely.

Blood gushed out like a fountain as Yun Huanxin groaned painfully. She activated her spatial power and relocated herself away.

"Where are you going?"

Dian Lun's playful voice suddenly echoed in her ears as he already appeared behind her.

Yun Huanxin's face turned pale. She felt that death was coming for her.

I'm sorry, Lintian. I let you down.

Dian Lun reached out to grab Yun Huanxin's neck with a triumphant smile. Although the battle had been rough, he was the ultimate victor.

Just as his hand was about to touch Yun Huanxin's neck, a shadowy dagger suddenly emerged from the void and stabbed his hand, causing Dian Lun to groan and retreat.

A shadowy figure instantly emerged beside Yun Huanxin. It was none other than Yun Meilan.

She wore a black robe with a black veil covering her entire face. A black dagger could be seen in her hand.

Yun Huanxin was startled for a moment and breathed a sigh of relief. "How did you get here?"

Yun Meilan glanced at Yun Huanxin's severed shoulder and said calmly, "I told you to stop watching movies and train more, but you didn't listen."
