Infinite Evolution: My Idle Evolution System

Chapter 386 386: Nearing 100 Million Unity, Returning To The Infinite Character Development Dimension

Day 360: Over 1,000 Luxury Origin Houses have been built, which subsequently increased the rate at which Attribute Orbs dropped from Origin Units. The value of each Attribute Orb also experienced generally higher improvements. Origin Markets, Origin Restaurants, Origin Stores, and Origin Inns were also put into production after Origin Architects went through evolutions that ascended them to a level between Tier 3 and Tier 4, becoming one of the first Tier 3.5 Origin Units.

Once an entire year had gone by in a flash, Cassius simply continued to let time pass. The System told him it could sustain this form of time stasis for dozens of years before needing a cooldown—so why not take full advantage?

— Some years later (Originverse time) —

*Fwack! Fwack!*

The sound of a hoe digging into rich soil could be heard from where Cassius was sitting. By the stump of a large tree, he looked out at all that he and his Origin Units had accomplished over the years.

What used to be no more than a tiny hut was now a flourishing city with thousands of buildings, of which there were dozens of different types. Countless Origin Units all moved with purpose, carrying out their tasks as blurs, while also dropping tons of Attribute Orbs that they were commanded to devour until they stopped becoming effective.

Even a huge Trading Center had been built by the Origin Units for the Origin Units. In it, they could put any and all Attribute Orbs on sale, while also having the option to purchase any that may be sitting around at one of the many stalls run by 'Origin Merchants.'

Most of these Merchants had been hired by the Origin Units selling Attribute Orbs, with their fee being a portion of the Attribute Orb value being sold or received.

It was a couple of years after these Origin Merchants became available as 5★ Origin Units with a very cheap cost that Cassius began to notice something. The Origin Units started to become—

Autonomous.

But not the kind of mindless autonomy that they were working with previously. No, this was the kind of autonomy that stemmed from signs of genuine intelligence.

"It has been tens of years since I resolved myself to improve my Origin Village as much as I could," Cassius mused with a reminiscent tone, recalling every step he took to get to this point. "Now, with semi-functioning intelligence on the rise and 4★ Origin Managers to manage the purchasing of Origin Units, my uses here have all but vanished."

He had inadvertently created an independently evolving city that did everything from producing Origin Units to constructing entire skyscrapers to put them to work. There was nothing left for him to oversee, for they were like a human society—but bereft of flaws.

They moved and worked for the singular purpose of progression and the happiness of their Master and Creator. And they'd never deviate from that purpose, because that was who they were.

The perfect civilization evolved over the span of tens of thousands of years of sped-up time. Immortal they were, yet boredom they did not feel.

Cassius had no complaints.

"My work here is done," he declared as he rose from the grass patch beside the tree he had been sitting at. "And with my Unity inching toward 100 million, I can all but be assured of my power control for the next thousand years to come. This also means that it's now time to move onto the next place on my bucket list:

The Infinite Character Development Dimension."

FWIP!

Leaving the Land of Beginnings and Nightmarescape for last, Cassius teleported out of the Originverse. And though he caught a glimpse of the mesmerizing tree looming over all existence, it was very brief—for he went straight into another Dimension.

As soon as he reopened his eyes, the beautiful nude figure of Luma the Rainbow Serpent appeared before him. Cassius also took in the ringing of the System Notifications informing him of the CD Units that he was constantly acquiring because of the extremely high gravity level of this world.

"Why are you spacing out, my Disciple?" asked Luma, her shimmering slitted eyes focused on the... before her…?

"Wait, why do you suddenly feel so different? And your appearance???"

The him of now, as opposed to just a second ago, was like the difference between Heaven and Earth!

Were they even the same person!? Because even though the previous Cassius was abnormally handsome and possessed a razor-sharp presence, it was nowhere near what it was right now!

"Master Luma, huh?" Cassius smiled as memories of their interactions flooded back to him. "Don't mind my changes, for not everything is as it seems."

Pretending to use Illusion Magic to revert his cultivation and appearance to how they were, he actually used it to do the opposite.

But the stunning woman before him didn't need to know that.

Luma's eyes widened as she couldn't believe she had actually been fooled by Illusion Magic—...

"Wait, what's Illusion Magic…?" she wondered, tilting her head in confusion.

Cassius chuckled. He walked up to her and ruffled her hair before briskly passing her.

"Come on, cute Master of mine, you promised that you'd train me until I begged for death, did you not? Only then would you give me more of your delicious Body Refinement Liquid. So let's get to it; I'm ready for anything you plan to do to me."

"???"

Although taken aback by this sudden change in his attitude to something more bold and unrestrained, Luma was not one to dawdle. Therefore, after shaking off the warmth left behind by his hand touching her, she caught up to him—though did so very awkwardly.

"Still getting used to that new body of yours?" Cassius inquired with a casual tone, sitting on a large boulder just as his Master requested. "You know, while you're at it, you should probably summon something to wear and put it on. Having everything hanging out like that really does a number on someone with a monk mindset like myself."

"Clothes?"
