Kurosawa Tsuyoshi nodded thoughtfully, raising his head as if about to speak, but suddenly his back tensed slightly, and a chill ran through him.
The sensation was so subtle that if Yan Junze hadn’t previously warned him, Kurosawa Tsuyoshi would not have thought it out of the ordinary and likely would have dismissed it as nothing.
But now, things were different. The slight chill along his spine immediately put him on alert, and he quickly turned his head to look at the darkness behind him.
The light rain outside the house had gradually stopped, but the sky hadn’t brightened. As it was already near dusk, the horizon was tinged with a faint yellow glow of the setting sun, leaving the space under the eaves in growing darkness.
All of a sudden, Kurosawa Tsuyoshi’s eyes sharpened, his expression turning to shock, and he spun around, thrusting both palms forward with a swift motion.
At the same moment, a magnetic net rapidly formed between his palms and in the space ahead. Visible to the naked eye, the net distorted the space before him, as if trying to block something from the invading darkness.
