Leo Thompson finished saying that he didn’t agree with Dale marrying into the Dunn Family.
He heard his daughter softly say, “Dad, Carson just texted me. He said he wants to join our family instead.”
James Thompson gave a cold snort, unwilling to speak.
He didn’t want to be like Cody Thompson, making his children unhappy because of his own preferences.
“Dale, you decide for yourself.”
“Thank you, Dad. Mom, how about you?” Dale Land asked, holding Julia Land’s arm.
Julia Land said, “In our house, your dad makes the decisions.”
Dale Land covered her mouth and smiled, knowing her mom was actually the one in charge at home.
“Mom, please don’t worry. If Carson can’t convince Mrs. Dunn, I won’t marry him.”

Still in the car downstairs at Harbor Journey Gardens, Carson Dunn sent a message to Dale Land, then turned to look at Mrs. Dunn sitting in the back seat with a sullen face.
“Mom, I’m not planning to return to Sea Pearl City anymore. I’ve already told Little Dale I’ll be joining her family. You and Dad are healthy enough to consider having another child to inherit the company.”
Lorenzo Thornton listened to her son’s increasingly inappropriate words, clutching her chest in utter disbelief.
“You’re doing this to your parents for such an overweight girl? What’s so good about her? She lacks looks, lacks family background.”
She was so angry she laughed!
Carson Dunn chuckled gently, “Mom, you two are still young. Seize the opportunity. I’ll take you back to the Capital City tomorrow.”
What do you think?
