Chapter 334: Saving the Slums

Fire Blast Bullets tore a person's armored-covered head clean off, leaving a fountain of blood erupting from the severed neck. The body fell to the ground with a thud—a usual scene that would have caused panic. But instead, it was like fuel that caused the vigor of the enemy to burn brighter.

However, their efforts were futile, as Apollo didn't even need to exert much effort to defeat them. It was like fighting against a flock of chickens coming at him with sticks in their mouths.

Apollo continued firing the fire bullets toward the enemies, and they fell one by one, holes appearing on their bodies with smoke rising from the edges. Some died instantly, while others managed to witness the horrors before succumbing to death.

It didn't take long for the beggar to kill each Silver Armored Guard, as they couldn't handle the Fire Blast Bullets. Though, it was understandable—Apollo couldn't count how many times he had revised the Fire Blast Technique.

As bodies surrounded him, dead as they could be, Apollo blew the smoke coming from his fingers.

He glanced at the dead guards before his eyes fell on the SlumStreet people.

"Hello, everyone. Long time no see," Apollo greeted with a smile. At first, they couldn't recognize him, but as they stared closer at his face, memories came back. The first ones to recognize him were the vendors who sold on the same street as Big Chub.

"Our savior! Please save Rachel!" Although they were happy that the person who had saved them before had come to save them again, there was still one more person who needed Apollo's help.

"So that's her name," Apollo nodded at them. He didn't appear to be in a hurry as he casually replied, "Don't worry, she's okay."

"Okay? B-but she's still inside the tent!" one of them said worriedly.

"Nothing ever happened to her," Apollo clarified while turning toward the giant tent.

Footsteps echoed from within. They sounded metallic and heavy, causing the entire place to become quiet.

The hostages—the SlumStreet people—trembled in fear upon hearing the footsteps. They were all familiar with this sound. Unlike the Silver Armored Guards, this sound carried great pressure, an authority they couldn't disobey.

"What's with the commotion?" a voice reverberated, and all eyes landed on the person who walked out.

Tor Callum glanced at the surroundings, and his gaze settled on the dead bodies around a kid.

He was now wearing full gold armor, the helmet held in his arms, exposing his handsome face and beautiful hair.

"Did you do this?" Tor asked the kid. Because of the commotion, he immediately knew something was wrong, so he donned his armor, and sure enough, the dead guards confirmed his suspicion.

"Yeah," Apollo admitted. "So you assigned Callum to take care of SlumStreet."

"Oh? I'm surprised that you know that," Tor said genuinely. He stared at the beggar from head to toe before coming to a conclusion. "Are you the messenger from Klown City? My guards did something to offend you, right? That's why you killed them. But a mere messenger—I don't think you have the authority to kill the subjects of the Callum Family."

Apollo raised an eyebrow when he heard this. So this is the reason why they are still here. They don't know that the Callum Family is now gone and Mathias is the new mayor.

But it doesn't matter, this is going to be their graveyard.

"Not saying a word?" Tor Callum frowned.

"You know what I hate the most?" Apollo began walking towards the golden armored man while raising his finger in a gun motion. "Arrogant people who thinks they are better than everyone else. It's annoying and frustrating that they don't know they're stepping on a snake's tail. They are d*mb blinded by power."

"Power is absolute, weak are weak, strong are strong, those who survived at the top has the right to trample those below them," Tor said.

"I guess you are right," Apollo nodded. "But that only applied when you don't get on my nerves."

"I see," Tor smirked while strong killing intent erupted from him. He put on his gold helmet and began gathering the surrounding Qi. The air around him became chaotic, the atmosphere became cold and wind was summoned. "You are not a messenger, but a third party. However kid, just because you kill my guards doesn't mean you can also kill me. I'm a Qi Condensation Stage Cultivator!"

"Wow, scary," Apollo said though his emotionless voice didn't change.

"Yeah! You should be scared!" Tor laughed before his face turned serious. "Then die. No one shall stop me from ruling this place!"

Tor had already decided that he will create his own kingdom in this place. With him as the king and everyone else as his slave, he will live the life he always dreamed off that he can't achieve back in the city! A place where he can do whatever he wanted!

"Callum Family is gone and you are the only one left," Apollo suddenly dropped the news while Tor fantasize his dreams. Although he wanted to kill this golden armored man, he couldn't just do that without making Tor suffer. He really hates people with Young Master Syndrome and if there is chance to torture some of them, the beggar will make sure not to waste it.

His words not only shocked Tor but also the people from the SlumStreet.

"Callum Family is gone?" Tor Callum repeated with disbelief in his voice. He processed the information for a while before he glared at the beggar. "Lies! My family is backed by the Mayor! There's no way he will let Callum just die!"

"You mean Klown?" Apollo chuckled. "He's already dead. That's why you haven't received the order to come back because there's no place for you in the city anymore."

"Bullsh*t!" Tor shouted and with a step, he appeared in front of the beggar. He clenched his fist and pulled his hand, "Take this you piece of sh*t!"

A loud banging sound reverberated and the people on the scene exclaimed in surprise. Silence fell as they couldn't believe what they just saw. However, the silence didn't last long as in another second, they burst in excitement. Some even cry because of how happy they are.

Apollo lowered his smoking hand as the body of Tor Callum fell to the ground.
